Blue Water Charters  Specializing in all types of blue water offshore sport fishing with emphisis on big game fishing as well as bottom and rig fishing . The operation is based out of the Venice Marina in Venice Louisiana located a short distance from the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This is a unique fishery in the Gulf of Mexico due to the abundant flow of nutrients supplied by the Mississippi river. These nutrients are the start of a proliffic food chain on a microscopic level which supports the appetite of the apex predators we seek. The petrochemical industry has supplied the marine enhabitants with structure (approximately 3800 oil and gas platforms) holding smaller species that draw the larger preditors.

 

Blue Water Charters run day and overnight trips out of Venice Marina. Day trips typically leave the dock around 6:00AM and generally return to the dock around 3:00PM. Overnight trips generally leave the dock around noon (this may vary due to the species sought) and return the following morning. All equipment and tackle (rods, reels and terminal tackle) is provided as well as bait and ice to perserve your catch.

Customers may bring their own equipment if they wish but we recommend using the quality equipment provided. Once back at the dock your catch will be cleaned for you and packed on ice in your ice chest for the ride home.
