The captain started fishing on the east coast (Virginia, Maryland and the Carolina's)  in the mid sixties and migrated to the gulf coast in 2000. Having been involved in sport as well as commercial fishing the captain gained the knowledge and experience required to obtain a USCG 50 Ton Masters certificate. With this experience and knowledge you can rest assured your fishing trip will be a safe and memorable one.   The vessel is based out of Venice, LA which is the best, most diverse fishing I have experienced.

The vessel - The Bimini Twist is a 34' King Cat catamaran sportfishing vessel that is powered by twin Cunnins 6BTA diesel engines and a 6 Kw generator supporting the heat and air conditioning as well as other ammenities. The vessel is very stable with excellent seakeeping abilities. It has a very large open deck plan with ample fish box as well as live bait holding capabilities. Safety is the captains biggest concern on the open water thus the vessel is equiped with offshore life vests, a 406 EPIRB, and a six man life raft. The electronic equipment is state of the art and most systems are redundantly backed up by a second system.
